Eclipse

I was surfing the web earlier and i cam across the theatrical trailer for the third movie in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse. I got super pumped for the movie too. Even though i was kinda disappointed in the first 2 movies, Twilight and New Moon, only because they didn't do the book justice at all. My hopes are very high for the third movie, because i think it will be the only book that will stay close to the story line. I'm getting very excited for Eclipse to come out in theaters on June 30th 2010.

On other news, i finished Burned by PC Cast last night before bed. the book was amazing. i was hooked from the first page in (even though i read the first chapter online, here) until the last. i'm sad that i read through it so fast but i just couldn't put it down.

here's the snippet from the inside front cover of the book (for those of you who dont have the book). Hope you enjoy!

Thing have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird's soul has shattered. With everything she's ever stood for falling apart, and a broken heart making her want to stay in the Otherworld forever, Zoey's fading fast. It's seeming more and more doubtful that she will be able to pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the world to rights. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must find a way to get to her. But How? He will have to die to do so, the Vampyre High Council stipulates. And then Zoey will give up for sure. There are only seven days left.

Enter BFF Stevie Rae. She wants to help Z, but she has massive problems of her own. The rouge Red Fledglings are acting up, and this time not even Stevie Rae can protect them from the consequences. Her kinda boyfriends, Dallas, is sweet but too nosy for his own good. The truth is, Stevie Rae's hiding a secret that might be the key to getting Zoey home - but it also threatens to explode her whole world.

In the middle of the mess is Aphrodite: ex-Fledgling, trust-fund baby, total hag from Hell (and proud of it). She's always been blessed (if you could call it that) with visions that can reveal the future, but now it seems that Nyx has decided to speak through her with the goddess's own voice, wheather Aphordite wants it or not. Aphrodite's loyalty can swing a lot of different ways, but right now Zoey's fate hangs in the balance.

Three girls... playing with fire... if they don't watch out, everyone will get Burned.

reading and work

First off, i want to say that i'm sorry for neglecting my blog.
I have no excesses for doing so.
It's not like i've been busy cause the truth is, i haven't been. I'm barley getting any shifts at work cause one of our mangers just came back from Mat Leave, so there are hardly any hours for for everyone. It sucks, i know cause i need the money. So needless to say, i'm on the hunt for a new and/or another job. Two problems though.
first, i don't drive, so it has to be close to home (in the same town).
second, i live in a small town, so there are so few jobs that im afraid that i wont be able to get one.

See my dilemma?

But im determined to do this. I dont want to be the person that sits at home and says i'll do it tomorrow and to be fully honest, that is how i've been feeling lately. I've been kinda letting everything slid even though i know i have to get it done. but i guess everyone gets in those moods from time to time. i just need to start kicking my own ass into gear and getting it done.

Even though I've been lazy lately, i've been doing some major reading.
I just finished reading The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong is the third book to her Darkest Powers Series.
The series is about a fifteen year old girl named Chloe Saunders. She is a necromancer, which is having the ability to take to ghosts and raising people from the dead to do her bidding. Her and her group of friends (they also have abilities of their own) are on the run from a group of people that want to do tests on them because that group changed something in them that made their powers stronger.

But now im on to reading
Burned by PC Cast. it is the seventh book in her House of Night Series. This book is supposed to be released on the 27th of April, but i managed to find it on the shelves of a book store in my town. I was so excited to see it there when i went in to check out what new books had come out lately and i just had to buy it cause i have the whole collection so far. PC Cast is my favorite author. She is an amazing writer and she makes you feel like you are apart of her books.

once i complete Burned, i will let you know what i think of it. But so far, its AMAZING!!!

easter

Easter this year was awesome. it was full of family, friends, town events and chocolate!

To kick off the long weekend, Shane and I had some friends and family over on Thursday night while Avalon had a sleep over at grandma's and grandpa's. then on Friday we slept till 12 and lounged around the rest of the day while Avalon went to Nana and papa's in the afternoon.

Then came Saturday! On Saturday, we went to the Float Your Fanny down the Ganny race that is held in my home town, Port Hope. Float Your Fanny consists of people racing a canoe, kayak, or crazy craft ten kilometers
down the Ganaraska River. It something that I've never participated in, but one day i just might cause it looks like a lot of fun. This year the turnout was amazing. there were around 150 crafts registered and it seemed like the whole town showed up for the event, and for the first time in what has seem like 15 years, the sun was actually shining instead of it raining!!!

Sunday morning we hunted for Easter eggs and ate chocolate for breakfast. Then we spent the afternoon chatting it up with my family and eating delicious food at my parents.
